How do I make millions on Craigslist?

I would like to know that answer too, but in the meantime I wanted to answer some questions I receive about how to make money on Craigslist.

Given that Craigslist is FREE online classifieds website, it is a huge hit with marketers. For the reason that #1 – it’s free and #2 – millions of people visit Craigslist daily searching for your service or product.

4 Top Techniques to Earn Money on Craigslist

1. Promote your service or product.

Post a FREE ad on Craigslist under the best category that fits your service or product.   For example, I come across this ad under Finance category for filing taxes:

This kind of ad receives several hits.  Most people just type their ad, but the real marketers place images in their ads. Click here to learn how to make a clickable Craigslist image.

I also found a “not what to place on Craigslist ad”:

This is an actual ad….please don’t try this.  There are special undercover departments just for Craigslist.

2. Gigs Section

Find work under the “Gigs” section of Craigslist:  This is a category that is giving away paid work from web developers, singers, guitarist, interns, and so on.  They are mostly looking for locals.  I guess a lot of people from Indian are already hip to this. I spot an ad in “Gigs” that was kind of funny, but she was making a point.

Oh yeah, and don’t fall for “Gigs” like this:

This is an actual ad too. Contrary to this, there are legitimate gigs on Craigslist.  I really got some decent projects from this section.  I subscribe to the RSS feed on the “Gigs” website so I can see all the new posts and respond to them immediately.

3. Sale your things on Craigslist

If you have an extra computer or television you want to get rid of craigslist is the place for you.

4.  Find a part-time or full-time job on Craigslist.

There are hundreds of jobs posted daily.  You may need a side job until your business start making money to pay the bills.  I am an advocate for working for yourself, but the bills won’t wait until your business start making money…so happy searching.
