Do you want to dominate Craigslist?
Before I begin to use search engine optimization to market my business online, I use to dominate Craigslist. People say to me all the time – “Craigslist doesn’t work for me!” Really? How many times have you post an ad? “Once????” No surprise it doesn’t work for you.
YOU HAVE TO BE PERSISENT. You need to post everyday or every other day for results. It takes all of 5 minutes to log on to your Craigslist account and post an ad. Some days I post on Craigslist, I get maybe five clicks and some days I get 25 clicks. I tell you what, you will get a higher conversion rate from Craigslist than Twitter or Face book.
I track my ad clicks on Photobucket. Don’t worry it’s free for all the economical, (let’s call it like it is) cheap people like me. I always create a clickable image ad on Craigslist. Secrets to Craigslist Domination
There are no real secrets. It’s all about numbers.
You will need:
- 5 – 10 different email accounts. Sign up with Yahoo, AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, and etc.
- 5 – 10 Craigslist Accounts setup with each new email account set up in the previous step.
- Get access to 5 – 10 different phone numbers (Craigslist have to verify your account by placing a call or texting a confirmation number to confirm you account). This is only if you are posting under the “Services” category.
**If push comes to shove, you can purchase Canadian DID (Direct Inward Dialing Numbers) numbers (Google this). Ring central, Vonage, or any other US VOIP (Voice over IP) phone numbers won’t work.
****DO NOT – I repeat DO NOT pay for any Craigslist verification accounts companies sell online. Most of those are scams and I haven’t figured out which are not, so just don’t do it.
Craigslist allows you to post up to 3 ads per day. Be unique and creative with every ad. Don’t use the same title and content for each one. For example, if your ad title is “Make 1 million dollars online in 30 days!“, therefore your next ad title you post should switch words, “In 30 Days – Make 1 million dollars online!”
With 5-10 Craigslist accounts, you can post 15-30 ads per day in various categories and cities.

You don’t have to come up with 5 – 10 Craigslist accounts; you can have 2 – 3 craigslist accounts and in spite of everything drive targeted traffic to your site every day.

I use it to promote my web design and internet marketing services, as well as my affiliate links. I am an advocate for Craigslist because this was how I paid all my household bills for years. Just from Craigslist ads alone. It’s so much easier than using search engine optimization marketing. You have a more direct targeted audience coming directly to you.

If you really want to be a Craiglist mogul, learn to find proxy servers that CL doesn’t detect as proxy servers and flag people down too
I know someone selling flooring making $8-$10k biweekly and CL is his only marketing source.

I have a program called Renew IP on my computer and it gives me a different IP address each time I log onto Craigslist (CL). I’ve had the same 20 CL accounts since July of 2009 now. All of my other CL account were closed by CL before I purchased this program. So it works for me. CL was my only marketing source for the past 2 years and I easily make 10k -15k per month just from CL alone.
Wow! I had no idea that this was possible. I’ll have to give that a try. Blogging is fun, but it’s not exactly paying the bills (yet).

So, you don’t say anything about your experience with ghosting while posting on craigslist and many of us know that its just not as easy as you make it out to be eh… so why not included a more detailed post with respect to automatic flagging and ghosting etc… nonetheless thanks for your post.
